Multi-government agencies are in the process of developing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an interoperable statewide radio network. The RFP is to gather supplier proposals to develop and implement a statewide interoperable radio network that will be used by public safety organizations.

Currently, public safety agencies use the Wisconsin Interoperable System for Communications (WISCOM). The shared statewide system is used by emergency responders to communicate during a major disaster or large-scale incident. By state law, the RFP must be conducted by June 30, 2019.
