To fully understand all new technology options available, the state of Wisconsin is developing a Request for Information (RFI) for Next Gen 9-1-1. The RFI focuses on gathering information on building an infrastructure background for Next Gen 9-1-1 known as Emergency Services IP network (ESInet). State communications and budget officials believe the RFI will provide important information to develop the future Request for Proposal (RFP) for the ESInet. Officials expect the RFI to be released this spring or early summer.
