On May 12, 2020, a Request for Information (RFI) has been released for a Statewide Public Safety Interoperable Communications System to assist the state with the development of requirements and specifications to be used in a subsequent RFP for the next iteration of the Wisconsin Interoperable System for Communications (WISCOM). This RFI is the first phase of a competitive procurement approach that seeks to engage the vendor community and experts in public safety communications to collaborate on solutions for the design, construction, implementation, support and maintenance of an interoperable Project 25 (P25) Phase 1 and Phase 2 VHF/700/800 MHz radio communications system (System) providing radio coverage to state and local government public safety agencies and certain non-governmental public service entities throughout Wisconsin (RFI #MA200881).
Responses to the RFI for the Statewide Public Safety Interoperable Communications System are due August 20, 2020.
