The Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) within the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs is dedicated to enhancing emergency communications systems statewide. Established in 2018, OEC plays a crucial role in promoting interoperability among public safety agencies, ensuring seamless communication during critical incidents. Key initiatives include Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), WISCOM, and Public Safety Broadband (PSB). OEC also administers grant programs aimed at supporting these efforts.
