MADISON, Wis. – The Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) is pleased to announce the award of 28 grant projects totaling $1,458,838.48 in state funding to local county land information offices across Wisconsin. One additional award is still pending confirmation.

Funding will be used for various projects related to geographic information systems (GIS) data creation, preparation, and remediation activities necessary for enabling Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1). A summary of the grant awards is detailed below.

The NG9-1-1 GIS Grant Program Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 state grant was authorized by Wis. Stats. § 256.35 (3s) (br), with funds allocated to DMA from the Wisconsin Police and Fire Protection Fund.
