MADISON, Wis. — 911 Authority, LLC has been selected by the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs to assist in the creation and operation of a statewide emergency services IP network (ESInet) following a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process. An ESInet will have the ability to interconnect all public safety answering points (PSAPs) and allow for the implementation of NextGen 9-1-1 services in Wisconsin.
911 Authority, LLC specializes in NextGen 9-1-1 and has provided support to several states including Indiana and Alabama.
911 Authority, LLC and the Office of Emergency Communications will be conducting a statewide 9-1-1 system assessment to gather key information from PSAPs throughout the state to determine their readiness to implement NextGen 9-1-1 statewide. Contact will be made in the form of an online survey, on-site visits, and regional town hall style meetings to gather the necessary information. Participation during the information gathering stage is essential to ensure an RFP is developed that will meet the needs of the PSAPs in Wisconsin.
